enowned luxury brand Louis Vuitton has reopened a newly designed seven floor store in Tokyo’s Ginza District.
Featuring interior design by Peter Marino and a facade by Jun Aoki, the overall aesthetic of the building was inspired by the shimmering reflections of water - with the buildings curving and rippling exterior creating a three-dimensional ‘pillar of water’ effect. This aesthetic is further enhanced by dichroic glass that produces endless colour variations.
Inside the building, Peter Marino’s interiors seek to emphasize the building’s organic appearance. Guests can not only gaze at the gorgeous goods but can also simply sit and take in the stunning design of the space itself thanks to Marino’s brilliant aesthetic.
The focal point of Louis Vuitton’s new Ginza Namiki store is a central staircase of sculptured oak bordered by glass. Meanwhile, acting as an uplifting and inspiring theme, color is used throughout in many different forms.
The acidic hues of pierre paulin and stefan leo’s furniture are complemented by a four-story feature wall showcasing a reinterpretation of a kimiko fujimura painting.
The building which reopened to the public on March 20, is a seven-story shopping mecca that includes the full women’s and men’s ready-to-wear and leather collections, accessories, jewelry, watches, fragrances, iconic travel sets, exclusive pieces, and a louis vuitton city guide. But, that’s not all.
On the upper levels, a dedicated private salon for VIP clients is available, as well as a culmination of F&B experiences including Le Cafe V and Le Chocolat V in collaboration with renowned Chef Yosuke Suga.
