NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
DATE: 8 JANUARY 2019 | BY AGENXY GLOBAL | NEWS | FASHION
One of the most important weeks in fashion is back, with famous faces from far and wide congregating to watch the iconic show.
The event held only twice a year is back, with the models flaunting expensive collections on February 8th through to February 16th. The first show of the year will be held at both Spring Studios and Industria in New York City.
The city is home to one of the four major fashion events held each year alongside London, Milan, and Paris. As the fashion capital of the world, New York is where the most influential designers come to showcase their collections at exclusive invite-only fashion shows.
The New York Winter/Fall fashion week back in 2018 created more trends than anyone would have thought. Some included; the colour of Marigold yellow - the hue was seen everywhere both on and off the runway, and was the perfect statement tone for spring, Colourful PVC Jackets, Crochet clothing, Business-casual suiting, Patchwork clothing, and Tiered clothing.
It is expected that this year's shows will produce greater trends and similar content, however, this year will be quite different from recent years in regards to the separation of both the male and female collections. NYFW and NYFW men’s have long been separate events, but In 2019, both weeks are combined into one, leaving menswear and womenswear runways overlapping, which will be a big change for the show.
